How can manufacturers scale their battery production? Are there alternatives to lithium-ion batteries? And how can battery manufacturers recycle production waste during the manufacturing process? In the first series of three episodes, the experts address these questions on battery technology. Just like on an actual TV talk show, they sit together and casually chat about the topics in these 15-minute videos. They examine the issues from a variety of angles, but viewers themselves can draw their own conclusions from the talks. "With 'Let's talk', we primarily want to offer viewers interesting content. It makes no difference to us whether they are scientists, battery manufacturers or students. Anyone who is curious about battery technology will definitely gain deeper insights into this subject area here," explains Jan Miethke, Head of Marketing Brand & Strategy at Hosokawa Alpine. The talks are led by presenter Dorothee Gelmar with professionalism and charm.
The first episode of ''Let's talk' – 'Scaling of the active battery raw materials business' was published on Hosokawa Alpine's YouTube channel and website in September 2024. Experts Dr Nico Zobel (Division Manager Service, Products & Cathode Material, IBU-tec advanced materials AG), Kurt Belmans (Global Application Manager Battery Materials, Bühler Group) and Michael Krammer (Team Manager Sales, Hosokawa Alpine) discuss how battery manufacturers are taking their battery production from laboratory to production scale.
Additional episodes on the topics 'What are the future battery materials?' and 'Direct scrap recycling: How to make battery production more efficient" will be published in the same location in the months ahead. And Hosokawa Alpine is already thinking further into the future: 'Battery technology is not the only pioneering topic we are working on. From alternative proteins to post-consumer recycling: With "Let's talk", we want to take a look into the future together with experts and viewers,' says Miethke.
